I would also add that the gong embedded in the sapphire crystal makes a huge difference - mine has by far the best sounding alarm of any watch that I have ever heard, not just among JLC. Very melodious, high end repeater like.

totally agree with you. That's why I secured one earlier. Ref. 144.8.94 (Cal. 914) is a very balanced and restraint watch, and it avoids the extra bulk of Memovoxes with automatic mvt. Nice chime after more than 25 years. Nevertheless, I treated her recen...

Grey suede is an easy solution, although definitely a downshift.

Sold it - among other things - due to the size. It never really felt right on my wrist. But as a watch, it is gorgeous. And for a long time the onnly Memovox where you could see the alarm at work. Miss it. Claus ...  

I had mine on the wrist during the whole Christmas holiday, it was a pleasure to wear and play with. I only wish it has a see through case back like the latest model, but except that, it is perfect! Maybe one day I'll chase the black one... I tried it onc... 

Hi Well you know I have the black dial version, I'm still looking for an automatic one too. The automatic - it's a great size, and has the gold medallion on the case back as do other master control of the same era. Be a nice contrast to the manual - which...

I was surprised to read that the silver dial is rarer as there are generally more available on the market at any one time. Would anyone know the split. Thanks for your help
