Dallas Service Center Fail

Just wanted to post a quick update - I sent the watch back sad

I noticed that the power reserve hand for the time seemed to be reflecting light funny so I whipped out the loupe and took another pass over the watch post service. It's hard to see unless the light is right but the base of the power reserve hand had developed a slight dish/concavity to it at the axle and the sub second foudroyante hand had a slight skew to it as well that you could only see with a loupe while the chrono is running. Careless remounting of the hands. Not impressed. It's back at the Dallas service center awaiting new hands from Switzerland. The NYC boutique has been great in taking care of it all and I'm very happy I'm working through them vs having to ship things back and forth myself but this kind of carelessness is pretty crap for this level of watch.

I really wanted to believe the US service center can manage watches of this complication and will provide an update on how this turns out but in the meantime, if you do get your watch serviced in the US, I'd definitely use a boutique to minimize headaches and definitely go over the watch more thoroughly than you might think you need to when it comes back.
