And reasonable prices. This was in 2012 or 2013 and i liked the MUT moon the most for its small bezel, classic looks and moonphase complication.

I was fortunate to find this pink gold edition in 2005 before it was discontinued and replaced by the Master Calendar: ...  

I got to see and handle first-hand the entire line. That was a real eye-opener! I was 21 years old, so all I could afford to buy at that time was this one. It cost me all of $75.00 US. They gave me the bracelet for free. I still have it and it still runs ...

Even though they were a little too outre for my conservative tastes, they drew my attention to the master line, where all my JLC watches come from.

Like most of us, the models that called my attention back in the 90's were the Master Geographic, the Master Reserve de Marche, and I really liked the 37 mm, manual winding Memovox (Ref: 144.8.94.S) what a nice watch, I almost bought it a couple of times....
