Reverso came first - but did not have the funds.
I grew up with a father who wore a Polaris and a Memovox E873. That made me aware of the brand.
Living in Brussels, Belgium in 1992~1993, there was a watch dealer that exhibited the Reverso models in steel and steel/gold on the Place du Grand Sablon. Had to stop there every time I came close.
The first one I bought with my own money was - of course - the Master Compressor Memovox. Still have it!
From there it was all downhill. I own quite a few JLCs by now.
