Yep, 1120 pieces on a 4 years period.
I was on to buy the red dialed Polaris II, indeed, but I passed on it as I already own the Grey dial, which is in stunning condition.
I sawq several blue dials, 2 red Dials, and only one grey dial, which seems to be, with the red Pola II, the rarest.
Why did JLC produced 1120 Pola II?
Well, my guess is that the Quartz era threatnened in a very serious way Mechanical watches- we were in the Mid 70ies- and the Polaris II design is very strongly linked to a period, aesthetically speaking.
Without forgetting that there were a bit more Polaris 1714 pieces ) but not that more, and that the Deep Sea Alarm was not produced in a ùmassive way ( 1061 or 1062 pieces ), as well as the Master Mariner Deep Sea ( 1500 pieces ).
So, why not only 1120 pieces?

What an

In real, Blomman, 2 mm make a big visual difference.
Take any 40 mm watch and compare it to a 42 mm, you will see a huge difference. Well, about the Concorde Ad, I would have to pick 2 watches to make it, not only one, and if the E 855 is not too difficult to find, the E 861 is a bit more diificult to find....
