Well, I started with the Pre V, and there was no choice: 44 mm. The first 47 mm modern Panerai was the PAM 21. Then, if my memory serves me well, the first Luminor 47 mm was the 127.
So, I used to love the 44mm first, then the 47mm. No problem with that.
Yup, absolutely 👍🏽 It does make me wonder how the modern 44mm models were received by purists when first introduced. 🤔
Regardless of any initial reactions, these modern pieces clearly won everyone over.

Nice one. Tobacco was perhaps even greater. At least a PAM
that had some water resistance not like some of today’s wimps😉
