Well, I started with the Pre V, and there was no choice: 44 mm. The first 47 mm modern Panerai was the PAM 21. Then, if my memory serves me well, the first Luminor 47 mm was the 127.
So, I used to love the 44mm first, then the 47mm. No problem with that.
The elusive Panerai PAM 40.
Which was one of my favorite Panerai from the Vendome years. It came as the first ( with the PAM 36 ) titanium grade 2 Panerai, here with a black dial, while the 36 had a gorgeous tobacco dial. Officially not limited, but in fact, yes. Not even in the cat...

Yup, absolutely 👍🏽 It does make me wonder how the modern 44mm models were received by purists when first introduced. 🤔
Regardless of any initial reactions, these modern pieces clearly won everyone over.
I like this case shape...
...but not a fan of the crown guard unless it is very waterproof...is it?
Nice one. Tobacco was perhaps even greater. At least a PAM
that had some water resistance not like some of today’s wimps😉

Throwback to more recent times, with 9X "elusive" PAM507's. We actually had 10 but a client was there to pick it up before I could even photograph the entire family. ...
