Prestige & Exclusivity: Centuries of status as a top-tier manufacture.
Low Production: They are made in tiny numbers, making them scarce assets.
All have a place in any collection as you can find even cheaper watches with great functions.

I have visited the PP factory at Plan-les-Ouates. Even got so see Henry Stern at his desk and shook his hand. And I got to pick up a PP I had there for service.
I still keep three PP, the rest I’ve sold.

Just to throw out some numbers open to correction.
Omega 250 parts maybe 40-80 man hours. High complications Patek 1000 parts at least 2000 man hours probably more. One watchmaker. Is about 2200 hr a year. Just my guess.
My point is: 39 hours watchmaker on avg for PP, not 1000 or 2000.
