I have owned 3 different Omega’s with the new master chronometer rating. All ran +3 a day with this latest running -1 second so far. I thought As far as I see it Metas is just a marketing term with the master chronometers running worse than some ETA movme...

In the sense I think you mean that there's no real benefit versus if Omega were using a modern swiss level escapement and the usual certification. Using silicon parts has reduced the effects of magnetism to point where Breguet is starting to actively use ... 

I more passively aggressively not happy that Omega made such a big splat with METAS and then I see absolutely no benifit. Now I can’t stand watches that run slow. That’s a big no no in my eyes and if this continues tonight this watch is going back to the ... 

If their claim is 0-2 but you get one above or below on a small sample how are they lying? Isn’t that statistically insignificant? Or even within a margin of error? For that matter, how do you know that you are even testing under the same conditions that ... 

METAS states +0/5-6 I set the time to a known reference clock in the morning wear it and put it down on the nightstand and pick it up in the morning and check against the same source. Whatever testing they did clearly didn’t cover the scenario of putting ...

I have a Rolex that is running -5 secs/day when on the wrist since it was brand new. It bothers me a bit because of all the 'superlative' mumbo jumbo, but not enough to make me send it back. On the other hand, my most accurate watch is a Squale Master, wh... 

The issue is not the time keeping to the second it’s the fact that heh gloated about METAS and put some bs numbers down on a website. I get the watch and it’s running slow which is not even within their acceptable tolerances. Also to your point. ETA movem... 

Everything which is consistently in between 5 sec is simpy perfect. It wont get any better!

The point is METAS states +0/(5..6) not -1. I couldn’t care less if it was +10. What I care about is false bs marketing which is what METAS is. To that point I bring Rolex Into the picture as they are Omegas biggest competitor. When Rolex said superlative... 

If this is Marketing bs (as you call it), then so is also COSC and many others. I do not agree at all! The certifiaction that DO make sense is 1) METAS (specifically Magnetism!) 2) Qualité Fleurier 3) Poinçon de Gèneve (optical QC)

But when one says +0/6 and one says +/-2 and one stays in the range and the other does not.... call it whatever you want!!

And if it was like that from the beginning - bring it back. As easy as that!

Your points are not wrong but you clearly missed what I was saying. I don’t work for Omega and not sponsored by them. My reality is they are liars. I will be selling this watch no doubt in a few months. Good thing there are other watches on the market tha... 

You are an Omega fanboy which is ok every forum has one! I however am a realist and like a range of different brands/models and have no problem calling it how I see it! My money after all

I’ll try dial down tonight. It’s just not a natural way to leave a watch so I usually either put them in their side (helium escape) side or flat. We will see

I know that you are disappointed by their claim but I think that is good time keeping by any standard. The problem with sending it back is that a new watch is going to be opened and who knows what will happen after that. See if you can forget about their ...

of course it’s bullshit. Omega went all in on a movement that at first failed horribly and now only runs as good as the traditional lever escapement. All of the problems it was meant to solve are already solved by modern materials. They want to be better ... 

Owned almost every modern sports Rolex but I also had my share of new Omega’s. I think Omega really has good value proposition these days. Take this new seamaster 300M. I think it’s every bit as good if not better than a submariner when you take into acco... 

This is one of the many things that separates the brands. I like them both and wear them both but I will say it how I see it from MY EXPERIENCE. My particular watches have never ran any better than a basic 2824 ETA

The seamaster 300, seamaster 300M 2500D movement and the new plant ocean 8900. All ran +3.5 daily. That’s not bad at all but it’s not +2/-2 thst my explorer II, datejust 41 and air king put out. I feel I have a good sample size with this being my 4rth Ome...
