Size Guide for Kalpa Watches
In the course of completing my Kalpa collection, I experienced more than a little frustration with misinformation and misidentification on the internet of these very different watches. So I've taken a little time this morning to put together a size guide for the Kalpa range for those who are interested.
Left-to-Right (first 3 photos); Kalpa Grande, Kalpa XL, Kalpagraphe.
In the stacked photo below, the Kalpagraphe is on the bottom and the Kalpa Grande on top.
For the case measurements:
L=Length measured from tip of lug to tip of lug
W=Width of case excluding the crown
T=Thickness of case
L2L=Inside lug dimension (for strap width)

T=9.5mm

L=53mm
W=37mm

For reference, my wrist is just over 18cm circumference.
A couple other tidbits of information. The Kalpa XL was offered in a manual winding 8-day movement ("Hebdomadaire") in its early years. In later years it was offered with an automatic movement. All Kalpa Grande watches were offered with automatic movements, some with gold rotor and some with steel rotor.

The second photo gives the most accurate indication of size difference between the Grande and XL. On the wrist, the difference is more noticeable in length than width but both wear very comfortably on my wrist. Thanks again.

The Kalpagraphe is uber comfortable on the wrist and can easily be worn all day without the slightest discomfort, but on an eyeball test, it is a bit overpowering. Thanks for commenting. M4

I agree with rootbeer that the first 2 look similar in size, and the grande looks thicker than 9.5mm in that stacked photo.
