I specifically looked for a reference that was unpolished, full set, and fairly recent. If the price difference was big, I would have considered one with an extract from the archives or service papers.

IMO, price aside, you should ask for an archive to ensure authenticity of the watch, especially it is a piece to celebrate your milestone. Best of luck and let us know the decision.
The presence of the other items that came with the watch doesn't help me much when the one key irreplaceable item is missing. It's a modern Patek and I like to buy modern Pateks with Certificate if those are readily available. In contrast I could not care...
