And Patek is the overlord of understatement.
As the 5951 movement is based on the original 5959 movement it is very likely that it is also treated as such.
The remontage, twice assembly of the movement, is quite time consuming and therefore costly.
Lange and Soehne is doing it with all their movements, btw.
The 5204 is already a high end Patek and a collector's dream.
The 5951 is a collector's nightmare: you know you want it but you struggle with the price

A 40% price increase in only two years shows that Patek can ask what ever they want for their watches: people pay it.
