Actually thought I would wear my 5980 more...
....than my recently purchased 5712. However the latter seems to be stuck to my arm. So very very comfortable to wear. Much lighter than my 5980. And the dial is even slightly better looking than my 5980? Hmmm...new found love? Or am I just slightly seduced by a new comers beauty? Time will show which watch will actually get more wrist time.

I initially bought the 5711 and had to sell it in order to buy the 5980. I have to admit that 5711 sits much better on the wrist but I do prefer the bolder presence of the 5980. Being my only bracelet watch, I prefer it to be a little sportier.

I shower with my 5712. Have no worries about this.
But admittedly have a problem with these 'maritime' watches that supposedly cannot hold out the water when you go deeper than the dishes in your kitchen. My AP RO 15300 included. 50 m WR only!
I heard 60M is ok with shower
but never immerse it under water, I have my 5712 with me in the shower as well, so far no issue. 30M is just good for keeping the moisture out or wearing it in the rain.
