I totally understand.
I initially bought the 5711 and had to sell it in order to buy the 5980. I have to admit that 5711 sits much better on the wrist but I do prefer the bolder presence of the 5980. Being my only bracelet watch, I prefer it to be a little sportier.

I shower with my 5712. Have no worries about this.
But admittedly have a problem with these 'maritime' watches that supposedly cannot hold out the water when you go deeper than the dishes in your kitchen. My AP RO 15300 included. 50 m WR only!
I heard 60M is ok with shower
but never immerse it under water, I have my 5712 with me in the shower as well, so far no issue. 30M is just good for keeping the moisture out or wearing it in the rain.
