Now, if funds are not a problem... 3939, 1579 Steel, 3417 Steel, 5970G Salmon, 5102 Celestial.

For me.. 5178 (cream dial) 5970 5074 5070 5712 (or 3712) 5074 and 5070 shares the same case design but it doesn’t feel right to leave out either of them I wanted to squeeze in a time calatrava but couldn’t find a ref worthy to be in the top 5

Also I find vintage too small.. I tried a friends 3970 recently and I keep thinking “this would look great on my wife’s wrist”

Nico, I just saw a listing on European Watch Company for a 3417 steel without the amagnetic script on the dial. Appeared to be in excellent condition. No original certificate but has extract from the archives. You could grab one of your top fives……

That being said. If I was in the market for one considering the huge price difference I would be absolutely very satisfied with the RG version.

The P version would have been my choice if funds would have been available and if readability would have been better (I know you don’t consider this argument as relevant but still…) The R version is therefore my favorite as I absolutely love the rose gold...
