I haven’t read anyone ever mention a specific appreciation for it like you, but I’ve regarded it as an elegantly modern reinterpretation of the traditional round case.

They all get wrist time. Currently the 5125 a bit more as it is my latest acquisition

Amazing trio and similar to you also love these crown guards, even on dressier pieces. Had a 5127G, which let go (cannot even remember why or what for) and I’m considering going back with a 5107 (which flatter bezels - dream would be a black P, possibly a... 

...

Totally agree with your sentiments regarding the crown guards, one of my most favourite Calatrava models was the 5127R Love the 5125.

I also have a soft spot for that case style with the crown guards. Actually, I've owned a 5110G in the past, and currently a 5130G (which is an absolute keeper in my collection). And sometimes I search for the 5125, which tempts me a lot, but the price is...
