I also have a soft spot for that case style with the crown guards. Actually, I've owned a 5110G in the past, and currently a 5130G (which is an absolute keeper in my collection). And sometimes I search for the 5125, which tempts me a lot, but the price is a bit high for me unfortunately.

I haven’t read anyone ever mention a specific appreciation for it like you, but I’ve regarded it as an elegantly modern reinterpretation of the traditional round case.

The Wempe logo doesn't bother me at all. On the contrary. As a long-time customer of Wempe where I bought my first Patek, it fits perfectly.
