At one stage I made the same custom strap for every watch in my collection
I quickly grew tired of it, not only because the strap didn’t work well with some of the watches, but every watch ended up looking kind of the same (we some times take for granted how much visual space a strap takes up in relation to the watch as a whole).
I don’t have a fixed style now, but I still gravitate mostly towards black, brown, navy and dark gray. I also have straps olive green, beige, deep purple to keep things lively. I find alligator, calf and ostrich to be all pretty good for comfortable durability.

Brown alligator strap with a platinum deployant clasp.
Yes the clasp won’t be period correct but it will add to the quirkiness of multi-metal and multi-color effect. That’s is one heck of a 130 by the way.

For me, watch by watch is the way to go.

It works well for me!
Maybe a lighter brown would pair well with the rose gold bezel and other elements. The watch is very nice. Best, Emmanuel
