Been looking into a couple references

And narrowed down to 40-60s VCs and Breguet Empire era.
Breguet is very difficult to find sources of information and I felt that I don’t know enough to pull the trigger given the chance.
With VC I had an opportunity to purchase the 4217 with indexes and even Arabic numerals which is one of my favourite dial design, and for some reason I decided to take my time to sit back and make sure it is really the right piece.
Then all of the sudden I found this Patek ref.1509 with tear drop lugs, coincidentally, my favourite design (my dream watch being Vingt-8!). To be honest, the timing is too good to be true.

The seller isn’t the original owner and servicing history is unknown. I think the case has been lightly polished at some point, given the age. Nonetheless, It is truly stunning!
