In fact it took me two weeks after Basel before I spoke to my AD requesting one. At Basel, I was obsessed with the 5131p. It was all I could see. After Basel, I slowly started to see other watches and “woke up” to the 5650g. Once I paid attention, I realised I really wanted one. However, I could not have predicted just how much I would love it. It far exceeds what I expected. With the 5370p, I saw it and totally loved it. I knew I wanted it immediately. Once I got it, I knew it was the right decision. An incredible Watch that met my high expectation. With the 5650, the outcome was very different. I expected it to be fantastic but as you say, it elicits a reaction way beyond what one might expect.
