I am a long time collector and know my due diligence. Maybe I was not clear enough with my questions.
The watch on the pic is just an example for the model and is not subject to any discussion or question of mine.
As I do not know the model well I am wondering how an untouched case is supposed to look like. Thatās what I would be interested in. If I have an idea of the right look I can better judge if I see one specific watch in real. With a Nautilus, Aquanaut etc. or Rolex I know the original look of the case but not with a 5109.

The hallmarks is definitely a good indication, but sometimes polishers polish just the top of the watch and don't polish the backside where the hallmarks are. The backsides don't get scratched since it's always in contact with one's wrist.
Some people say that I'm too polished...

Hey montres1, itĀ“s actually really a 5109J-010 shown at my PP dealer. The -010 dial variation is darker than the -001 variation which is more off-white. But youĀ“re right, the case looks a bit bit reddish indeed.

Hi my friend, Patrick and the others are right it is hard to tell from a photo, but you have to check if the angles are there, as it seems they are from your photo. The angles from the bezel and lugs. Plus the hallmarks on the back.
The angles have to be neat. If too rounded, they are polished.
