Forgot to mention, a lot of people want an "inexpensive" Patek Philippe in their collection. Not saying that you want this. But don't be attracted to something just because it's inexpensive on the used market. Remember, always need to trust the seller fir...

That's right! I remember you have some experience with buying used watches. A used 5110P if I recall correctly, I remember that one since that's one of my personal favorite references. When you look at the 5109, you'll see the watch is kind of like a reve... 

When researching on watch models I haven’t handled or seen before I often feel a bit uncomfortable as I could not develop a „feeling“ if the case is good or not. A post below is referring to the condition of the hallmarks which also is an indication. And ... 

The hallmarks is definitely a good indication, but sometimes polishers polish just the top of the watch and don't polish the backside where the hallmarks are. The backsides don't get scratched since it's always in contact with one's wrist.

More often than not there's a reason why something is the cheapest.

The backing is very big and flat. Which makes it less comfortable on the wrist for some.

Aren't this size. So if you have a smaller wrist, you may find it uncomfortable.

The 5109J has a more off-white dial. It happens that I am the happy owner of this one: which I bought new in 2007 at my PP AD. I think it was discontinued around 2009. It has the manual wound 215PS movement, which is I think very reliable and without surp...

The angles have to be neat. If too rounded, they are polished.

I have never been a great fan of rectangular watches but recently I´ve worked myself a lot into Cartier watches. The 5109 strongly reminds me of the Tank design with its plain and simple lines. I´m curious to see it on my wrist and how large it really is,...

Wished they'd keep making this model!

which can be a little different in look but helps stabilize the watch on the wrist. I like the thinness of the watch.
