Haha I like your reaction Kari :)
Yes indeed, you can perfectly find your own tune and ideal number. As long as it is the way you feel and your appeal for those watches works.
There are so many ways and feelings about watches.
I completly understand you stand.
For myself, I think I can't take any of my watches and say: I'm sure I'll never sell it (other than financial reasons of course).
Except indeed the 5712 currently which is the last one I would.
I think it is perfectly nice to be able to be excited by most of our watches for decades but I don't feel I work that way. This is something I start to understand about myself.
And I even think I might be well doing with only 1 or 2 for a long while, and then change for another one which attracts me a lot. And so on...
With a 5370P for instance? Or a watch from the London limited editions (I've seen a 5070 on Instagram which looks amazing, I'll post it soon).
Enjoy Kari!
Mark

Thank you, could not have put it better myself! Just returned from a visit to PP and feeling suitably enthused. I took others on the trip, but so happy to be reunited with my 5146p. It was my first, I wear it every day and for me it\'s charms will never f...

A wonderful post. A joy to read and relook at. Bravo. With this watch,I agree with all you said. I own it too, and every time I wear it, I have your feelings. The dial color for me is unique. Also an extremely versatile watch. Congrats Joe

Dear all, thanks a lot for all these really warm-hearted and friendly comments on and feedback to my post! I\'m ... overwhelmed. That\'s the reason why I feel so "at home" on this website. Here I find not just enormous know how, experience and people from...
Dear Geross, yes
By: MTR : October 11th, 2015-03:36
a chrono would be nice... I have sold them all. Either because they didn\'t "sing" to me anymore, were - to my mind - not unique enough (the same ETA Valjoux 7750 in various brands and forms) or because they were not "pure" enough. I also have to confess ...
Excellent... :-D

The challenge might be: an exit piece for each brand? This would also lead to a constantly growing collection difficult to control... ;-) But hope always dies last... And, Seeks, thank you for your very kind respond! Cheers, Thomas
No, no, no Mark!

I have a big bunch on "Only Ones". When you find perfection (in its class), it is very difficult to give it away. Think about your 5712 or my 3712: a nice chronograph or perpetual calendar can't replace that but they can stay aside. I thought it would be ...

your 5712 is clearly your First Only Watch. Just 15 to go... Indeed, 5370P is a fantastic watch - it has everything. I have ordered mine and on Thursday over the dinner with Patek's representative I will bargain about the delivery time. These London Editi...
100% agree.
By: Mark in Paris : October 11th, 2015-10:30
This is also my thoughts. And didn't understand the fuss about the prices. Patek's policy is fully reponsible and justified on that matter. When times are good, a company has to follow, when times are not, it will need the security it gathers during the g...

I will PM the same to you and then you are the "loose mouth" (lol). Best, Kari PS. I have not heard anything even I have asked. But I have been in the waiting list already like one year. Same with 5131P & 5170A&P. Best, Kari
Are you nuts?
By: dr.kol : October 11th, 2015-13:08
I do not know anything... I spoke with one of Patek's top executives and he said: "perhaps a dial variation; we have not decided yet". First of all, they all lie and it's their job! At the same time it was admitted that something comes out. I'm on the lis...
