I must confess that your post made me to "look at the mirror". I do not have a watch I would feel about in the same way as you feel about your 5146G. Perhaps I have not found mine yet and I keep searching. Or then I have simply too many watches I like and...

a chrono would be nice... I have sold them all. Either because they didn\'t "sing" to me anymore, were - to my mind - not unique enough (the same ETA Valjoux 7750 in various brands and forms) or because they were not "pure" enough. I also have to confess ...

I have a big bunch on "Only Ones". When you find perfection (in its class), it is very difficult to give it away. Think about your 5712 or my 3712: a nice chronograph or perpetual calendar can't replace that but they can stay aside. I thought it would be ...

The 5146 is a great all round piece, incidentally it was also my first Patek. I agree with you fully, when you say that its perfect as an everyday watch
