My watch seems to turn each year without problems. I'm sorry to hear that your watch has that issue. I would recommend getting it looked at by Patek Philippe as your watch is new and is still covered by warranty. Perhaps my watch is a rare one with some problems. I will ask PP to look at it on my next service.

I am so sorry to hear about this.
I have had my 5270G (the blue chin) for over 3 years now. Fortunately, I have not encountered any such problems. I don't really have an answer or a solution, but I feel your pain.

Thanks to everyone for all your responses. This watch was one of the first ones available from the dealer all the way back in 2012. So perhaps there have been some glitches which have been ironed out over the last 4 years. Hopefully after the next service...
Maybe Patek will provide updated parts during service
I sometimes see bulletins from manufacturers for specific parts to be swapped out with newer (read: better-functioning) versions. I hope the new service gives you many years of problem-free usage.
