My 5270G is the third generation. I do not have the problem like yours, but mine is about the leap year indicator. As I adjust the montha to change the year correspondent, the number of year wont change after 1 cycle form Jan to Jan, but rather change slowly aftwr 48 times of changing the month. Is that the same with your 5270. I look that all generation share the same calibre

I am so sorry to hear about this.
I have had my 5270G (the blue chin) for over 3 years now. Fortunately, I have not encountered any such problems. I don't really have an answer or a solution, but I feel your pain.

Thanks to everyone for all your responses. This watch was one of the first ones available from the dealer all the way back in 2012. So perhaps there have been some glitches which have been ironed out over the last 4 years. Hopefully after the next service...
Maybe Patek will provide updated parts during service
I sometimes see bulletins from manufacturers for specific parts to be swapped out with newer (read: better-functioning) versions. I hope the new service gives you many years of problem-free usage.
