I've had the chance to try on the platinum OG and found it very nice and attractive in its own right.

These RG ones are made in quite limited quantities than the Pt version.
I actually prefer this combination too. Many recent releases are RG + Black.

Perhaps some people feel that the bracelet is very eye catching and for their sense of aesthetics draws attention away from the dial. They might prefer an oyster style bracelet.
