How about digging into the variants of this Split Seconds Chronograph ref. 5950 introduced in 2010 ? The reference 5951, which adds a Perpetual Calendar module and makes some aesthetic changes, was introduced in 2011. Please, check the reviews on this sit...  

I love the 5950, and I love the 5940 too. But the rattrapante and the perpetual calendar in the same watch doesn't work very well. I'm feeling the dial isn't well balanced.

None of the subdials has the same size as the others, the window for the leap year has no counterpoint, so no symetry, the windows for the month and date are stuck between the subdials... Only little details but all in one it gives a général feeling of cl... 

But I personally find the white and black Breguet variants (012 & 013) quite charming. I don’t like the sporty one with red chrono hands and silver subdials (001), nor the one with engravings on the case.

Do you have a favorite here? I think the one I like the most (judging only from photos) could be the black dial Breguet numerals 5951.

And I share some of it, I’m just not quite sure how I feel about the corner motifs and engravings of the 5950. I would have to see it in real life. It might be too ornate for me.

I think I prefer the black dial (5951P-013), though, because I'm not fond of blackened hands and numerals: I prefer the "natural" white gold hands and numerals which perfectly match the platinum case. Thanks for the kind words.

The "simple" split for me, please...on the bracelet with the rose Breguets.

It is pure art of watchmaking: German Silver base plate, double assembled, very, very slim ss chrono movement. The minute hand has no connection to the chrono second hand and is directly driven by the minute wheel. Hence the 60 minute counter. If the chro...

Not sure about these cushion shaped cases but they look good on the wrist shots. All are wonderful, but my favourite here is 5951P-013.

...numbers are cut off. And some where they are not.

It seems that the only model without cut off 10 & 8 is the 5950A-001. Couldn't explain why! Thanks for looking.

...it would be interesting to see if the sub dials are larger on the dials with the cut off numerals. Also, the one with 'whole' numerals has each 5 minutes marked (5, 10, 15, 20) as opposed to only every 10 minutes (10, 20, 30)... Lots of subtle variatio... 

But the 010 is out of control.

What a great idea to post the various versions. I think my pick would be the second picture. White dial. Dark hands and that flimsy bracelet that somehow really appeals to me. Wow. 😮

I could well imagine wearing this. So understated and yet an amazing piece.

I had no idea that variant existed! Every version is special but that one is next level for me.
