Doing this this edition of a tonneau shaped perpetual is much more pleasing to the eye than the 5040.
The 5040 comes ueber-classical with the Breguet hands but to my liking it gives the 5040 also a very conservative look.
The filigree hands of the 5040 are also less readable than the 5940 ones.
If this one is compared to competitors it looks a bit atavistic, albeit the use of the Spyromax hairspring.
Atavistic because it is not instantaneous, not adjustable by the crown.
The most striking aspect of the watch and the deal breaker will be the elegance of it that is achieved by the design and the slim movement.
Here again Patek is unbeaten.
A lovely, lovey pp calendar that looks very desirable in any metal and in my view the new best looking pp calendar from Patek.
Thanks for the review and the detail of the larger nail of the hour markers.
Best
