I considered trading in my 5110P for a 5230P for a while.....
....But now I'm certain. The 5110P is a keeper. I deliberately wore it for a few days straight, and I enjoy every glance at this wonderful watch.
The proportions of the case and its elegance are simply unbeatable. I also like the new cases. But they still seem unnecessarily large to me. The 5230P is definitely as well a great watch and a good alternative for bigger wrists. But the 5110P is and stays MY watch 😃

Agree, the 51 series PP WT is the way to go.
Have a feeling many Patek collectors are now searching more for vintage / classic pieces, the way the Stern family kept things professional and tidy, like the 3940, etc.

While I own 5130 and 5131, the case on 5110 fits like a glove on my sub 7" wrist. Had 5110J - sold it to fund my Resonance, but I have a feeling it will find it's way to the collection again. Enjoy....that 5110P is a beautiful watch.

To my eye, no worldtime that Patek has done since the 5110 can match it.
Both models are great,
but I personally like the 5110 a little more (ideal size and “iconic” crown guards). So I would have made the same choice as you. Best, Emmanuel

Especially after wearing larger watches for a while, the 5110 suddenly appears very small. It always takes some time to get used to the 37mm. But I tend to prefer the smaller references more and more. I'm getting old 😉
