This seems a tad thicker than 8.5mm. I forget which, but there was another watch recently that looked massively thicker than what was stated in the review.
...maybe it's the slab-sided nature, but it seems thicker. I guess my point is, how many reviewers (you know the usual crowd) who actually handle the watches, measure them? ...
