I like the 5036/1G
...especially in black dial.
I have considered getting one many years (like 15/16) ago, but went for the 5146/1G-010 instead.
Yeah, buy what you like and makes you happy.
I am not into coloured gold, but some prefer them.
I feel the manufacturers would made them more or less based on demands in the market - so there might be less (or more) for YG, but you'll likely have less (or more) competing alternatives should you need to sell it later.

The 5035 killed my interest in PP. I still have three PP but no complications and a great watchmaker in NYC that makes them run decently.
In my case, PP service in NY and Geneva was pretty bad.
