I mean... we KNOW that--
if this watch said anything but Patek on it... people would dismiss it probably instantly... it's quite the dog... and the big date is another feature that would be summarily shot dead on sight... if it were another brand introducing a big date on a new watch in 2024... the big date is beyond passe except for Lange and GO, who earned their place there, but... whew! It is astonishing how much Patek gets away with... and my guess is... ALL AD's are overwhelmed with orders already.

Nobody with a nanogram of common sense might believe that the auction's "performance" was not staged. Patek is a successful company that is advertising, promoting and selling its new watch, no need to play those games (flippers are more than enough).
Why is it a “leak” when Patek put an advertisement in a magazine?
The advertisement appears legit, unlikely to be a hoax. The new model needs a name with 3 syllables to match Aqunaut, Nautilaus but Patek could have tried bit harder.

He's probably going to say, "I look a lot better than Lewis Hamilton!" I'd say the model looks nicer than the watch, I really don't like the dial layout of this watch and I feel the model looks like a model. Of course, things may change in person.
I would be interested in seeing the new model (this one or whatever is the actual model) in person before passing judgement.
