And it makes for a greater contrast with the sensuous manta ray case and Arabic numerals of the 5100 (I imagine that some collectors own both or had already a 5100 when this one came out)...

This reference is my favourite modern PP out of some repeater models. I love modern watches with vintage calibres (I write this with my Omega 1894 on the wrist) and this one is the best.

Yes, no “wings” here and no curves,
except for the lugs. The aesthetic is Lucy more severe than that of the Manta ray. Not to everyone’s taste, for sure. But it’s very ok for me, especially considering that you get a true vintage caliber in a modern case and watch. Cheers, Emmanuel

It's a fantastic nod to the 30s,
