As a grail, I’ll vote for the 5004 or 5204, due to the complication and balanced esthetics.
Now if we are talking about PPC’s , my favorite will be the 3970P silver/white dial followed by the 5270G first generation closely followed by the second gen(chin), all others are okay, but in the case of the 5970 the date display dial cutting in the minute track and omitting the 28-32minute markers always bothered me and I just can’t make peace with that.
At this level, I personally consider that little “imperfection” as a design flaw…

split second complications. My ultimate perpetual calendar split seconds is the 5004!

Only 5970. But since money is not infinite for me I’d go WG 5270 or even 3970 most bang for buck

I have tried on the 5270J and it wears perfectly on my wrist. I’m not sure about the 5204 and thinking it might be a little thick at 14.3mm….i would assume the 5970 will wear fine like the 5270. For my logical mind, I will probably get a 5270R/J/P any ver...
5204 - When it comes to PCC (and SS-PCC) I just prefer clean dials with no Tachymeter scale

Since I already have a 5970 These are actually two great references imho
5970 all day long. Then some more.
Brimming with Patek DNA. Prefer the Movement , case proportions and dial layout. Simples. Lume kills the 5204 for me. M. ...
5970 is definitely my first choice. IMHO about as perfect as a watch can be. 2d - 5004. Plenty of 2499 DNA and slightly larger than 3970 at 36.7 to 36 mm. Also much prefer the dial to
