How and why is this wonderful reference so left aside is completely beyond me. As far as I could find, it was given 3 different dials (one black, two white) and was made in 2 metals (yellow and white gold), all powered by caliber 215. On this site, ronhan...  

I also find the white dial/Roman numerals variant attractive (and even the Arabic one), but the black dial one really stands out.

They are each elegant and endearing in their own way, including the unique pieces with the little leaf hands. I agree with you in particular about the variant with Roman numerals. Nice post.👏🏽

I have never seen these before. Thank you for sharing. I think especially in the context of cubitus release, it’s super interesting that here’s a rectangular watch with a round movement. Yet, that was one of the main complaints about the cubitus.

has a display case back. And because Patek and some other brands have sometimes gone the extra mile and made a beautiful shaped movement, which would have been a great feature for the Cubitus (and for the price asked).

But the fact remains that it’s a rectangular watch with a round movement and here we all are admiring its beauty. And it truly is very beautiful.

This certainly is a very nice graduation present! I’ve seen some 5014R mentioned, but couldn’t find any official extract or certificate confirming the rose (and not yellow) gold. And, strangely, the rose gold seems to be mentioned only for the black dial ... 

I checked with the family member who bought it.

With the rounded profile and tiered lugs, I think the last dial variant with roman numerals and rounded minute & second tracks pairs well. I also really like the first dial variant in yellow gold. The 5109 is similar (and the 5112 if you want a gem-se... 

but the black dial/yellow gold one really stand out for me. As for the ref. 5109, it’s similar indeed, but far from identical: the case is thinner, all polished and the sides aren’t stepped. The case here is a little more complex.

And I'm glad you find the variant with playful Arabic numerals quite appealing: even though I feel personally more attracted to the black dial and Roman numeral variants, I still think this one is full of charm and I admire the way each of the three dials...

With a closed case back, I find it personally much easier to forget about the shape of the movement.

Nice pic, which gives a better idea of how this watch wears in real life. And the rose gold ref. 5000 with salmon dial is quite stunning.

The pictures have been great for understanding the different variations. For me, the YG with black dial is top of the list.
