Thanks for your post Nicolas
For the comparison between 5070 and 5970 they are so different, nearly opposite.
The 5070 is strong, catch your eyes and you heart, hate it or love it.
Strength because of its case and dial, class imho goes with this fantastic chronograph, elegant? yes it is but this is not the first word that comes to my mind.
It is much more present on the wrist than the 5970.
The 5970 is elegant, that's definitely the word. It looks smaller, the case is full of subtle curves, the dial is simple and easy to read for such a complication, perfectly balanced.
The 5070 is full of mistakes (called personnality) and I absolutely adore it for that, the 5970 is perfection, and I love it for that reason.
Between the version it is a matter of taste, they all are great. On the 5970 I prefer this white gold, for this dial.
The blackened index and hands, the grey, I find it more interesting than the black platinum with metal index and hands. Personnally I prefer the 5070 especially the platinum, to the 5970 and in the 5970 the white gold above the platinum.
Two different watches that cannot be compared and two masterpieces of Patek, especially compared to the newcomer, even with this very nice new caliber, the 5170 has much less personnality thant the 5070 , and the 5270 is not so subtle as the 5970, more "flat" in every way.
