Which do you prefer or would be your daily? Which would be a good 3rd piece to add to the collection? ...  

but the Aquanaut would be more of a daily for me. A third piece (assuming Patek) might be a Calatrava of some sort. p.s. Is that a dark blue strap on the Aquanaut, or black? If blue, it works beautifully.

A dressier model. Sure but this combo hits 99% of any dreamers collection. Awesome.

First of all, these are amazing. Congrats. And between them you have 90% of everyday use cases covered from casual hanging around to suit-and-tie meetings. So from a practical standpoint, a hat’s missing? Put it this way: do you ever feel like you should ...

I own both exact pieces, but I never thought about them as a perfect 2-watch collection. But now that you mention, they are two great daily wearers, with the Aquanaut giving you that extra sportiness, perfect for traveling and vacations. As s third piece,... 

Which is indeed very different to yours... but to me it all depends on the intended use.

Patek only provides the black or brown for the 5164A

The 5712 looks good with a suit - its slim profile makes it look fairly elegant. As a sports watch, the 5712 looks the part - but with the reduced water resistance compared to the 5711, it's probably best that it stays out of the water!

1) it’s the next successor to the nautilus & aquanaut, like it or not 2) the nautilus & aquanaut were also received poorly when they first came out 3) therefore I believe it will see appreciation and success under the Patek name, especially in smaller siz... 

No question for me

I think it might be the comparative simplicity and modesty; the rubber strap which is very functional for casual and sport; and maybe, because Paul McCartney wears his Aquanaut everywhere!

Your dynamic duo is plenty good and they represent the steel sports theme of Patek. As such, a natural extension would be a Cubitus 5821/1A if you were to maintain a similar collection. Await your decision and look forward to more of your posts !

Either one serves as excellent daily companion. Perhaps I will prefer 5164A a tad more, due to the v useful two time zones function. Besides, you can even use the left flank button to move hour hands forward to correct the dates without using any correcto... 

5930A which combines 2 practical functions you don’t yet have, WT and chrono. Plus you would have one bracelet watch, one rubber strap watch, one traditional strap watch. And 5930 A can be dressy, sporty or anything else you want it to be. Plus IMO it’s e... 

5164 would be a great daily or travel watch. Especially this new WG model - I love the dial color. A 3940R would round out this collection nicely (IMHO). I have to show off my 5712 here (sorry). ...
