ooh.....i think we would need to agree to disagree on this!
Take price out of the equation......the 5370 would win quite comfortably for me. I think a few PP watches over history have captured something special. That something special is always very tricky to define. It is often a balance of the dial...or maybe a certain timelessness of the design. I have often argued that the success of the Porsche 911 was that they caught a particular Factor X in design....a design that works decade after decade.....Rolex Submariner achieved the same....It is a design that works on young and old...generation after generation.....we both know the 3448...a watch that is 50 years old yet appears as fresh in design as a new watch. That is a Factor X. I think the 5070 has achieved the same status. There is just something about the combination of dial and case that elevates it.
Yes, I think over history, PP have produced a number of watches that have caught that magic Factor X. I just don't think the 5959 is in that category.
I think there is a very real possibility that the 5370 is. I think it is an icon. Nicolas describes it as the best watch produced in the last decade. I think I would go back much further. It has that Factor X....
This is so true

Patek has produced so much beautiful and interesting chronograph models. However, this one is I think the most appealing for this complication or simpler versions. I wished there was a more affordable similar model but, wouldn't we see too much of it if i...

I wonder what this is... Even if the 5370P will remain the "main course" ! These are many watches you bought but what I like is the way you do it: always really knowing what you'll be finding and with a great interest in details. I appreciate that "philos...

Now my thoughts are in 5370P and I hope that I will get it during the coming 6-7 months. It's always nice to plan next year and limiting the number of new watches. But what happens if Patek will introduce a nice 40th Anniversary Nautilus. Or an automatic ...

The DS is a fantastic watch, maybe the best of its kind, especially since it adds a "double split" minute chrono hand too. Many article were written about its features. We were with Bruno only talking about aesthetics and personnal taste. The shape of rbi...

Well Moritz, as I said I don't really want to compare each caliber with each other, especially because there is a lot of subjective elements and that we should be comparing them side by side, which is hard to do. However, I think there is no question abou...
