I played a bit on the size of the pictures, the colors, the contrast and the neatness, then I cropped them. Just to focus on the work on the dial. Is this a nice version? For sure. I for one, was waiting for a platinum ( so called king of all metals ) ver...  

To put a leather strap on that?

With bracelt for Black tie event....or with jeans on a lazy sunday. Strap for all other times. Small....very small chance it could happen this year. But 2018 for sure.

I prefer a Croc/Alligator Strap with a deployment for most of my watches. The platinum bracelet on the 5131/1P-001, however, is a great change of pace and my guess is that most owners will not want to swap it out. It's likely they'll feel as I do ... that...  

my 5131P arrived the shop and I'll pick it up at some stage. I think I know how one could convert the watch. However, I'm not sure if I will do that because this block of platinum gives an impression of cold and it's very cold in the Arctic. Best, Kari

... I might consider swapping out the bracelet for a strap? Even with a link or two removed my watch weighs over 200 grams. While it feels great to experience the heft of this watch for an evening (you really know you're wearing something of significance)...

I would not say that any particular metal is superior to the others. To me it all depends on each individual's preferences with respect to color and location. Platinum might not be very attractive to someone who live in South America? ...

Because there's no date function I usually don't use World Time pieces as everyday watches ... but they're great for traveling!

I'm not a huge fan of the bracelet, in particular on 5960A. Having said this, I think it fits 5131P very well and gives the watch a very special cool/cold appeal which is also well matched by the colors used for the enamel work. I'm eagerly waiting for mi...

Every version of the 5131 is a great. This P to me with the view from North Pole is an excellent depiction for the last version of this series. The bracelet was unexpected though. When I handled this piece at my AD, I LOVED the heft of the platinum bracel...  

For me 5131G is a bit too bright and 5131P fits perfectly to a man living in the area of the map of the watch. Best, Kari

The difference between the 5131G-001 and 5131-1/P-001 is huge. Yes they both have Cloisonné dials and are "5131's", but because of the bracelet on the "P" the two watches feel and look completely different. It's literally like they're not even in the same... 

... despite living in North America I'd probably have the 5131G-001. It's the most wearable because I prefer White Gold or Platinum over Rose or Yellow Gold. Also, the weight of the "P" makes it not the best choice for everyday use. Make no mistake about ...  

... similar to if a bracelet was applied to the 5131G-001, 5131J-001 or 5131R-001? 🤔

.....for you the dial on the P is unmistakably your favourite of the 4, but the weight of the bracelet on the P makes the 5131G more werable. For others, it is exactly the heft of teh metal that makes the 5131P attractive. So.....like you say....it is alm...

I like both bracelet and strap, but bracelet is my first choice. Unique and convenient use all year. Brown strap is my second choice. Navy blue is my third choice. ...  

Everyone is entitled to have their opinion of what looks best ... but I'd like to coin a new term for putting the Blue Strap on the 5131/1P. Lol

Sometimes, I am tired of always black and blue strap. The nice of strap is you can always change the color. I heard one lady(Patek AD manager) said men are quite boring because most of them like black and blue. I may try other color strap. This is my 5131...
