Personally I would have liked
less salmon dial again as too many being produced. I thought both the 5227 and 5396 are due a new movement with longer power reserve and more interesting dials. I’m not a fan of these hands like the 6119 either. What would have impressed me would have been a discontinuation of the 5227 and 5396 in favour of a 6227 and 6396 with the new movements to justify the insane year on year price increases. But maybe I’m just hard to please!

And whilst I was underwhelmed last year with the small seconds I really love the 5227 on my wrist. The proportions due to the lugs work much better for me and the dial looks so much better in its layout than with the small seconds. Actually this is crazy ...
