One question I have for you and everyone else here though. How important of a criteria is it to watch aficionados of having the "thinnest" minute repeater or the thinnest automatic movement, or thinnest XXX ? Having thin watches affects the look and size ...

Since there are absolutely NO other persons in our "watch gang" that collects and even appreciate ultra flat watches/movements. Dr. N loves to talk about those watches/movements and how they demonstrate the true watchmaking challenges. I need to bring him... 

I will come back with a review of the watch: I was impressed by its beauty, the clever use of the cushion shaped case and of course by the sound quality. Fx

Very impressive complications and watchmaking. The flying tourbillon 600P was awesome to see in person and so was the gem setting on some of the pieces. Now I'm looking forward to handling and hearing the thinness minute repeater from Piaget. Thanks for t...

. . . pertained to the decision to emphasize the treble, or, as audiophiles would say, the leading edge of the sound. That would be technically consistent with the relative thinness of the movement and limited internal volume of the case. In other words, ...

Are not urinated on :-) When I visited the AP Restoration Workshop over the summer, a watchmaker demonstrated and explained how they tune gongs. It was fascinating. The level of finish here is beyond question. Really impressive. I have enjoyed the article...
