Different story…
I was never a big fan of the Daytona model in general. Two years ago, when the updated platinum version was presented at W&W, I ordered this watch on impulse—and then completely forgot about it.
When my AD called me a few weeks ago, I went there just to see it in person. I had no intention of buying it anymore, especially since I had just completed a major acquisition. But once I had the 126506 on my wrist, I HAD to keep it. 🙏
I totally understand you, though. I do the same—if I no longer wear something, or if I don’t wear or love a watch enough (anymore): it goes. No safe queens. It’s either 100% or not at all.

If you never warmed up to it - then right decision
to let it go, especially when prices went up to let you get and focus on the pieces you really want and enjoy. A true sign you went with what you love and not hype.

Took some interest out of this hobby for me... I went to the Patek salon in Paris, was allowed in but no sales staff would attend to me as I did not make a reservation. However Maxence showed great hospitality across the street at the ALS boutique.
