In my very personal opinion, something is missing because the watch still gives off Datejust-vibes due to the fluted bezel and I never really fell in love with the Datejust

As I find the movement interesting and on paperI like elements of it. But the overall piece feels very cold. It didn’t wake any emotions in me.

Is the next watch on my list. I love the movement tech and how thin it is. I know the dial is controversial but I applaud them for doing something different than what they usually do, often being conservative to a fault.

I can’t get with the integrated watch/bracelet thing…and find watch sites annoying (not this one or anyone here) pushing the integrated/compact/perfect sized/etc thing on me. I feel like this is part of that movement. Maybe I am getting older and cranky, ...
I think it’s watch dependent. I love my 5712 and my Rolexes.
But some watches look better on a strap.
Use Datejust as a guide...
...colors, textures, markers, numerals... So many variations. They could do this here as well...

I have to agree. I love Rolex but there only two I’d be interested (and unlikely to get)
- titanium YM and Le Mans Daytona. Otherwise thankfully I feel like my Rolex collection is complete.
