Saturday was my wifes Birthday
and I gifted her the first Rolex in her collection - a nice Ref. 1505 with all-original Tritium hands and dial and Case & Bezel in nice and sharp condition imho.
As you might expect she really loved it, the current models were a bit too "loud" for her but this Vintage Oyster Perpetual Date paired with a leather strap really fits her style.

Indeed, these Oyster Perpetuals are far from being rare but in good original condition AND for a fair price they are getting harder to find.

exactly my thoughts and a Rolex also makes a great heirloom for our daughter. That is definitely a watch that can be passed on to the next generation if she is interrested.
