I agree, I'm glad that Rolex didn't make it any bigger. In fact, I like the old lugs that were skinnier, as the new lugs make the watch look a little big and too tough; not to mention it looks like there's too much material in the lug area. I'm more fond of the more delicate lugs from the past.
Another thing I like about the new model is the ceramic bezel and the bigger dots and wider hands on the dial.
How do you like the blue luminova? Personally, I found it strange and overly modern at first, but I knew I would get used to it right away.
You mention you love how your Submariners have patina-ed over the years. Considering this one is not likely to patina (ceramic bezel won't patina, and the lume here won't likely patina very much at all) much at all, do you think you'll wish it could patina a bit more?
