Seiko

Early on -- being butterfingers and all -- I managed to scratch a couple of lugs while changing straps on an otherwise pristine watch.

After having a service center do the same on another piece, I quickly became averse to strap/bracelet changing.
So I'm wondering KMII -- since you swap straps often -- have you gained sufficient practiced dexterity to avoid scratching altogether or have you learned not to mind scratches on the lugs' inner surfaces?
There's a watch whose strap I want to change and am thinking of chancing it again after a very long hiatus.
