I completely agree with that pet peeve.

 

Date setting is okay when it involves a single crossing of the dateline during travel, but it can be quite tedious when the displayed date differs by days (or weeks!) from the actual date. The same with the GS Spring Drive GMTs, too... so many turns of the jumping hour hand to arrive at the correct date...
