Chase Bar and Grill
We really enjoyed our dining experience at State & Fig and was about to go there again but we decided on trying something else. They have a Hungry Cat and Bouchon out here in Santa Barbara so we passed on them. We walked by a restaurant called Chase Bar and Grill and the menu looked good.
Accodring to the menu (they advertise themselves to be a Italian Seafood restaurant) they have been around since 1979. The interior had a busy bar counter. The dining area had tables and old school looking leather booths.
Sorry about the potato cam shot of the menu:
bread and fresh parmesan cheese
We began with
Fried Calamari. Marinara sauce was plain but the calamari it self was good.
The soup of the day was a
Fish Chowder:
Lots of fish in the tomato based broth.
Rib eye steak and a baked potato
Sea Bass with Fettucicine Alfredo was the best dish of the night.
The
Veal Valle de Ostra breaded with Italian ham and mozzarella cheese and Penna Carbonara was pretty good.
