Today I picked up a traditionnelle small seconds from an AD, did a few quick wind in store and the seconds was moving and looked fine, when I got home though I fully winded it and set the time, all the sudden the movement completely stopped, I am bringing... 

That’s not an inexpensive acquisition by any means, let alone the emotional let-down of a new purchase not functioning properly. Hope it gets sorted out soon Hussam

Just curious if they are going to only offer repair, what will be my leverage? Thanks

An astute AD would pass on the loss to the manufacturer.

I stopped when I felt the resistance, the watch went on for like 10 secs and suddenly it stopped, this watch as far as I know doesn’t have hacking seconds so when the second stopped I was like wha? The movement also completely stopped

The reason I asked is that having two of them, I know the Pt version for example comes with a ‘luxury’ feel version of the wounding gearing which although velvet smooth, makes the winding requiring a comprehensive turn of the crown, for each wind. The wor... 

So I am not sure if I will get different treatment there…cheers

I was also thinking it is bizarre, but they made me try 4 of them to demonstrate it is intended, in order to differentiate the materials/versions. So, my RG boutique edition had the ‘standard’ feel, which makes distinct sound and is quite hard/resistant. ...

Before you do anything, please knock the case of the watch with your finger very carefully in different places of the watch. Sometimes it helps by handwound-watches... Yours, Adam

Watches are, and we talk about mechanical watches, are precise instruments. A piece with a soul. Your watch run in the shop, so no evidence it fell. At home after winding and setting the time (Why does the AD do not set the watch?)….. All my watches, not ... 

I don't know about the consumer's right where you are but in the UK and Europe the consumer can get his money back within the first 30 days of a faulty item. Let us know what happens.

I had a similar case with a Patek and a Rolex, but not DOA as soon as yours. Maybe a week after buying. It was hard to get replacements because of supply, so I let the shops send them for repair. After the repairs, I will say that these 2 watches were the... 

i assume this model has the stop seconds for setting the exact time to the second if the movement worked ok in the shop and can be fully wound then i would assume that the lever that stops the balance wheel may be the problem-if you turn over the watch to... 

if the model has calibre 4400 which has a power reserve of 65 hours-to fully wind would require approx 80 or more thumb roll turns of the crown when you feel resistance is normal-(as the mainspring is winding around the barrel arbor) and to keep on going-... 

So we checked the watch there, it’s fully wounded with frozen movement, they apologies and said they will be demanding a re-pavement from VC, left the whole thing with them and they will update me after they talk to VC, I guess we will have to wait and se...
